Concept Organization, Mapping

Most people are familiar with Inspiration, but there are other programs out there that are free and can be used on any computer. Each of these programs does differen things--all have something to offer depending on your goals and purpose. Consider each of them for your next project! Examples of each are given below (basic examples...much more can be done)!

Bubbl.us:  Free, web-based mind mapping program. You are able to web ideas like you would on paper. Color based organization along with the 'lines' that connect pieces of your web. You are able to restructure, move, slide, and organize your concepts. Save-able, print-able, and embed-able :) Students (or staff) can collaborate on one document if they 'invite' each other to the same work space.

Glogster:  Think of this as a hyperlinked poster!  You are able to develop a 'poster' page with links and words that create an interactive piece of digital text. Video pieces are possible as a link, but the front page is photo based. Very flashy and fun!

Prezi:  Presentation software on steroids!  This program is a true mind mapping program. You are able to really play with pieces as full concepts rather than dry, stale (dare I  say...boring)  Power Point slides.  Super fun--very captivating, especially if on an interactive whiteboard.
